An entire set of eco-systems - man-made but not man-messed up - and phew was it hot...

Based in Cornwall near St Austell, the Eden Project carries with it a great sense of peace - the Bio-domes are beautiful works of art - man and nature working with each other for a change.

It's well worth a visit..!

Compound Eye ? The compound eye of the fruit fly contains 800 ommatidia or individual units. Each ommatidium contains 8 photoreceptor cells, support cells, pigment cells, and a cornea.
